While I have had an anxiety disorder all my life, this was my first (and so far) only phobia. Well, I other medical tests can set me off as well... Anyway, I just lost my job a week ago. My boss called me in and told me that the company has run out of money, so my contract was being terminated immediately. Oh, and would I be interested in doing essentially the same job for less than half the pay and no benefits. Yeah... Right. Anyway, stressful week, right? Well... I decided tonight, who knows why, to use my home PB cuff and take my blood pressure. Prob a bad idea. I did feel a bit nervous during the testing, but in the end, my BP was fine; *slightly* above normal, maybe, but, I was fighting anxiety at the time, so can not say I am concerned. Yeah! I know one test does not mean I am over my phobia. But what a great success - just thought I would share. PS: As far as the job, I am confident I will find work LONG before they find an adequate replacement for me, so I can have a bit of a laugh at their expense. :)
